Container destuffing cost in the GTA.

Container destuffing cost in the GTA — priced per container by size and carton count, not by the hour. What a floor-loaded 20′, 40′, or 40′HC runs, and what moves it: every box gets a carton allowance and a SKU cap; cartons over the allowance are priced in fixed increments, and add-ons like SKU sorting, FBA prep, or palletizing-and-storing are quoted as separate lines. Every quote is firm and in writing before your box is on the ground — the structure below is the same one we quote every customer.

RATE BOARD GATED — Real per-container numbers publish here when our rate data goes live. Carton-overage increments and palletizing add-ons are on the quote before work starts.

What moves the number: carton count over the allowance, the number of SKUs to sort, whether it needs FBA labels, and whether the freight is mixed, crushed, or mislabeled (we tell you that cost before we touch it, not after).

Answered straight.

What is the cheapest way to destuff a container?

A clean, single-SKU, floor-loaded box at or under the carton allowance is the cheapest — no overage, no sorting. The cost climbs with carton count over allowance, SKU sorting, and any FBA or labeling prep. We quote each as its own line so you can see exactly what drives it.

How long does destuffing a 40′HC take?

Same-day or next-day is normal near the 401/427 corridors when the appointment lines up. Mixed freight, heavy SKU sorting, or FBA prep add time — tell us the box and we tell you the real window before you book.

Can you store the pallets after destuffing?

Yes — destuff-and-store is quoted as one number, by the pallet, week-to-month, no lease.

Is a floor-loaded container priced differently than a palletized one?

Yes — a palletized box is forklifted off quickly, while floor-loaded freight is hand-unloaded carton by carton, so the labour line is higher. The gap depends on carton count and how the box was packed; we quote both the same way, as a firm line, once you tell us how it's loaded.

What happens if the real carton count comes in over what I quoted?

Cartons over the allowance are priced in fixed increments, so an over-count moves the number by those increments, not by a surprise hourly charge. We count as we unload and flag the overage before it's billed, never after.
